MV: MANZI VELOCE ED UN GRANDE 4º POSTO

La stagione 2019 è giunta al termine ed il team MV Agusta Forward Racing si ritiene soddisfatto del grande lavoro svolto quest’anno.
Quest’ultima gara del Campionato del Mondo Moto2 ha coronato i grandi sacrifici di tutta la squadra grazie all’ottimo risultato ottenuto da Stefano Manzi, che ha chiuso i 16 giri di pista al 4º posto, ad un soffio dal podio. Il pilota riminese, dopo una partenza che lo ha visto perdere 3 posizioni rispetto alla griglia, ha poi iniziato un’avvincente scalata verso la testa del gruppo. Per tutto il tempo Stefano ha girato con i primi, azzardando un sorpasso all’ultimo giro che lo ha visto arrivare fino in terza posizione. Il prossimo appuntamento è per dopodomani a Jerez per il primo test 2020 di Manzi e Corsi.
Un grande bravo va anche a Dominique Aegerter, che ha condotto una buona gara. Partito dalla 19esima posizione, il pilota svizzero ha tagliato il traguardo 12esimo. Tutta la squadra lo ringrazia per il lavoro svolto nell’arco di tutta la stagione e per la grande professionalità dimostrata.
Il 2019 è quindi giunto al termine, ma in meno di tre giorni il gruppo sarà nuovamente in pista a Jerez per i test 2020: qui vi sarà anche il nuovo compagno di squadra di Manzi, Simone Corsi, al quale viene dato ufficialmente il benvenuto e a cui si fa un grande in bocca al lupo per l’inizio di questa nuova avventura.

MV: FAST MANZI AND A GREAT 4TH PLACE

The 2019 season has come to an end and the MV Agusta Forward Racing team is satisfied with the great work done this year.
This last race of the Moto2 World Championship crowned the huge sacrifices of the whole team thanks to the excellent result obtained by Stefano Manzi, who closed the 16 laps of the race in 4th place, just a breath from the podium. The rider from Rimini, after a start that saw him lose 3 positions on the grid, then began a thrilling climb to the head of the group. Stefano was in the lead for most of the time, risking an overtaking on the last lap that saw him arrive in third position. The next appointment is for the day after tomorrow in Jerez for the first test of 2020 program for Manzi and Corsi.
Dominique Aegerter, who has led a good race, did a very good job. Starting from 19th position, the Swiss rider crossed the finish line 12th. The whole team thanks him for the work he has done throughout the season and for his great professionalism.
2019 has therefore come to an end, but in less than three days the group will be back on track in Jerez for the 2020 tests: here there will also be Manzi’s new teammate, Simone Corsi, who is officially welcomed. The whole team wish him all the best for the start of this new adventure.

“Partire dalla diciannovesima posizione e finire dodicesimi è positivo per me. Abbiamo chiuso a punti questa stagione ed è emozionante così come è stato emozionante l’intero week end. Ho concluso la mia stagione in Moto2 al meglio che ho potuto. Sono molto felice di aver lavorato quest’anno con l’intero team e di aver collaborato allo sviluppo del progetto Mv Agusta. È stato bello veder crescere la moto, spero di poter tornare a collaborare con il team in futuro. Grazie al team, a Mv Agusta, a CRC e a tutti gli sponsor che ci hanno accompagnato quest’anno. Auguro a tutti il meglio per la prossima stagione e come dice Giovanni, questo non è un addio ma solo un arrivederci”.

“Starting from position 19th and finishing twelfth is good for me. We closed the season in points and it’s exciting as well as the whole weekend was exciting. I finished my season in Moto2 at my best. I’m very happy to have worked with the team this year and to have been involved in the development of the Mv Agusta project. It was great to see the bike grow and I hope to be able to work with the team again in the future. Thanks to the team, Mv Agusta, CRC and all the sponsors who accompanied us this year. I wish you all the best for the next season and as Giovanni says, this is not a goodbye forever but just for now”.

“Sono davvero contento di come è andata la giornata. Già stamattina siamo partiti bene, eravamo veloci con la moto in assetto da competizione. La gara è andata bene, peccato per il podio, l’ho visto davvero vicino questa volta. Ci manca ancora un po’ di velocità in rettilineo, ma siamo davvero contenti di chiudere la stagione così. Ringrazio il team per tutto il lavoro svolto durante tutto l’anno. Ora siamo già pronti a pensare ai test, ci concentreremo in vista fella prossima stagione per iniziare al meglio il programma 2020”.

“I’m really happy with the way the day went. We got off to a good start this morning and we were fast with the bike with race set-up. The race went well, a pity for the podium, I saw it really close this time. We still need a bit of speed on the straight, but we are really happy to end the season like this. I would like to thank the team for all the work they have done throughout the year. Now we are ready to think about the tests, we will focus on the next season to start the 2020 program in the best possible way”.

“Un gran finale di stagione per noi. Prima di tutto devo dire un enorme grazie a tutti, per la passione, il duro lavoro, l’impegno e il supporto. Vedere Stefano nel gruppo di testa per tutta la gara è stata un’emozione unica, ci ha fatto sognare il podio e ci ha dato la giusta carica per quest’inverno. Lavoreremo sodo per migliorarci e migliorare la moto, per tornare ancora più competitivi. Il progresso fatto è notevole. Anche Dominique alla sua ultima gara è riuscito a fare bene; portare a casa dei punti per lui è stato molto importante. Ora pensiamo ai test di Jerez con un umore completamente diverso. Tutte le critiche subite ci hanno dato la forza di dimostrare che sappiamo reagire e non abbiamo intenzione di fermarci qui”.

“A great end of season for us. First of all I have to say a big thank you to everyone for their passion, hard work, commitment and support. Seeing Stefano in the front group for the whole race was a unique emotion, it made us dream about the podium and gave us the right energy for this winter. We will work hard to improve ourselves and the bike, to return even more competitive. We have made a lot of progress. Dominique also managed to do well in his last race; bringing home some points was very important for him. Now let’s think about the Jerez tests with a completely different mood. All the criticism we have received has given us the strength to show that we know how to react and we have no intention of stopping there”.
