19 agosto, Spielberg: Caduta di Escrig che compromette definitivamente il suo fine settimana di gara.
Alex Escrig, dopo una prima buona giornata di prove libere, ha continuato a migliorare anche in FP3. Una brutta caduta in curva 6 ha purtroppo interrotto la sua corsa all’accesso diretto in Q2, che è mancato per circa 2 decimi. La caduta ha causato al giovane spagnolo una frattura distale della tibia del piede sinistro, che lo terrà lontano dalle piste per un tempo ancora da definirsi.
“Stavo facendo un buon turno, avevo una buona velocità e stavo lottando per entrare in Q2, mi sentivo molto bene in moto e avevo delle buone sensazioni. Purtroppo, sono stato sfortunato con la caduta e adesso l’obiettivo è recuperare in fretta e tornare in pista con lo stesso feeling per dare il massimo”; queste le parole di Alex subito dopo l’infortunio e aggiunge: “ci tengo a ringraziare tutta la squadra per l’ottimo lavoro svolto sulla moto e tutto il team per essermi sempre così vicino. Spero di dimostrare prestissimo a tutti che insieme possiamo ottenere grandi risultati”.
Forward Team augura una pronta guarigione ad Alex e lo aspetta per risalire quanto prima in sella e riscattarsi da questa prima stagione sfortunata.

19 August, Spielberg: Escrig's crash definitely compromises his race weekend.
Alex Escrig, after a good first day of free practice, continued to improve in FP3. A nasty crash in turn 6 unfortunately interrupted his race for direct access to Q2, which he missed by about 2 tenths. The fall caused the young Spaniard to suffer a distal fracture of the tibia of his left foot, which will keep him off the track for a yet-to-be-determined time.
"I was having a good session, I had good speed and was fighting to get into Q2, I felt very good on the bike and had good feelings. Unfortunately, I was unlucky with the crash and now the goal is to recover quickly and get back on track with the same feeling to give my best"; these are the words of Alex immediately after the injury and he adds: "I want to thank the whole team for the great work done on the bike and for always being so close to me. I hope to show everyone very soon that together we can achieve great results”.
Forward Team wishes Alex a speedy recovery and looks forward to him getting back on the bike as soon as possible to redeem himself from this unlucky first season.
